Accomplish Something Today!

by | May 31, 2017

E very day make sure, no matter how small the effort, that you do something to make your dreams come true. We’ve all heard the proverb “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” But that same journey is vastly easier to make if the scenery changes.

If you keep moving and see different surroundings, you know you are making progress. If you can’t see the progress you are making, if every step seems to leave you in the same place, then you will have trouble believing that you are moving forward.

Every day in your life you have to see progress.

Ask yourself, What did I accomplish today? If you have an answer, if you can see the progress you have made in your journey, then you have had a valuable day.

How to Become Indispensable

During the last talk I gave, someone asked for some strategies he can use to get himself promoted faster. I thanked him for his courage to ask that question which almost everyone wanted to ask but never did. Filipinos don't ask this of questions in public, most specially when bosses are around.

Luck, Sense of Urgency, and Kinipan

Twenty five years ago, there were two newspaper boys. Both were born to poor families and both had parents who did not have college education.

They were selling newspapers to support their families.

Dodong, the younger and smaller one, couldn’t compete for customers against Toto who was older and bigger. Toto ran faster. He offered discounts. And he convinced customers to pay him only during pay days.

Five years ago, these two met again on that place where they used to wait for customers.

Two important jobs of Filipino motivational speakers

A motivational speaker has two jobs: push you to dream bigger and to encourage you  to make your dreams real.
