Change is always coming.
Many Filipinos voted for “Change Is Coming” promise as if change is a person, a candidate for office. Change is always coming every second, every hour, every day of our lives.
More than a year after, the promise is still a promise. Many felt that they were fooled. They expected the dream to become real — from a politician who made a living making promises.
There are also those who recognized that the promise is a failed one, but they blamed others for the failure.
And there are those who chose to wait and see. They knew that the promises were empty, but maybe this time, or some years from now some change will happen.
Change always comes. We see great changes today. But these aren’t the changes we desired.
Change — the one that we really desire for ourselves — will not be handed to a us on a silver platter. We cannot just sit in a corner and expect something to get better.
There are three kinds of people in this world: people who make it happen, people who watch what happens, and people who wonder what happened.
