Learn how to speak and make a difference.

Do you want to make positive change happen? You can do that by sharing your expertise and experiences.

One effective way I know is through public speaking.

For the past twelve years, I have delivered hundreds of speeches to conferences, sales rallies, conventions, and corporate events I shared stories of people who are exemplars for leadership, personal excellence, innovation, employee engagement, salesmanship, service excellence, and teamwork. In most speaking opportunities, I share my own leadership experiments.

I study like a scientist. I am interested in how leaders make huge impact on organizations.

And I am also the subject of my study. This is why I can speak with confidence because I share my personal experiences.

Here are some things I learned while speaking which you may consider on your journey.

I don’t see myself as a hero. The people who listen to me are the heroes. My role is that of a mentor who shares stories, strategies, and tools so they can learn from my experiences.

My aim really is not to become the best motivational speaker in the Philippines. (Yes, there was a time I also thought of becoming one). There are already more than twenty people I know who in their websites and resumes claimed to be the “best” — and there are many more who expressed their desire to become one.

These are good people who are big dreamers.

I am a big dreamer too. But I am not into that same-same game. I don’t even consider myself a motivational speaker.

The aim of speaking is not to cover a topic. It is not even to entertain and make people laugh. The real aim of public speaking is to make change happen in the hearts and minds of people.

People have pains. People have dreams. Your role is to help them ease their pains and get their dreams. 

Since I am working for corporate clients, I know that they want to achieve the following:

  1. Increase workplace productivity
  2. Improve customer experience
  3. Engage employees
  4. Turn supervisors and managers to leaders
  5. Build teams
  6. Increase sales
  7. Get more customers
  8. Embrace a new culture.

I spend much time looking for ways to help them get these things.  I zero-in on crucial behaviors that will help people achieve their biggest goals. Each presentation is professionally prepared and dynamically delivered.

Know what your audience needs, then make speeches that they’ll beg you to deliver. 

Speaking is an opportunity to make a difference. Make it your mission to deliver speeches that change lives.
