One Shift Tuesday

Get One Shift Tuesday

Win at work, one shift at a time.

Every Tuesday, I’ll send you one practical idea you can use to do better work, lead better conversations, make better decisions, and become more valuable at work.

No long lectures. No generic tips. Just one useful shift you can try this week.

Do what is best for you.

It’s six in the morning. I told myself to stay positive this day. I will not pay attention to the negative things that happened in the past few days.

I did not watch the SONA of the President. I had enough of his late-night conferences.

But this is easier said than done.

Old habits will pull as back to the familiar.

Old ways of thinking stay with us even if we choose to think differently. It is like changing TV channels to watch. You can pick which shows to watch, but the other shows are still there waiting for you.

One such bad habit is the FB habit.

I spent hours on Facebook. It is my default page when I am taking a break from work. And I take a break every 25 minutes.

I know the effect of Facebook on us Filipinos. Our people are divided. FB is no longer just a place to connect with friends. It is also a place where people express their political agendas, and where trolls get paid for selling their souls to the highest bidder.

I said it is easier said than done. But whatever you think is best for you must be done, right?

We don’t kick a habit. We pick an action, do it again and again until it gets easier.

My friend, do what is best for you.
