Stop making excuses!

Eleanor said that no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

An old concept that is always true.

There are people who expect me to raise their self-esteem when they attend my speaking seminars. They are overestimating my ability. I cannot do that for them.

You may influence how others esteem you. However, improving how others see you will not necessarily change your self-esteem. Your self-esteem (read: the way you see yourself) is your choice.

You are no longer a child. You do not need someone like me to tell you that you are unique, that you are valuable, that you are created in the image and likeness of God. I need to do that with children — because they do not know yet.

You are a child no more. Choose to think highly of yourself.
