Why Filipinos Should Vote for Leni Robredo

Millions of Filipinos support Leni Robredo. Thousands of volunteers organize rallies, conduct house-to-house campaigns, and do voter education programs. We have seen something that has never happened before. TV celebrities, actors, singers, national artists, teachers, doctors, engineers, accountants — people from all walks of life – join the Pink rallies.

They work like missionaries. I’ve been to some political rallies before, but none is as celebratory as a pink rally. People smile. They share food. You can feel the goodness of Filipinos. And you become proud of the kind of Filipinos who shout and dance with you.

I will tell you why Filipinos should vote for Leni. I am no fanatic; my vote represents my values. I will share with you what others sent me, and mention the declarations of support from people you know.

420,000 people came to support Leni Robredo on her birthday.
More than 420,000 Filipinos came together to celebrate Leni Robredo’s birthday.

I asked my friend Wilrose Valerio to curate the declarations of people who support Leni Robredo. She told me that she’s heard from beauty queens and national artists. Read what Wilrose found.

People for Leni Robredo

John Quincy Adams once says, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.”

Theodore M. Hesburgh adds, “The very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision. You can’t blow an uncertain trumpet.”

Indeed when John Maxwell said that leadership is about ‘influence’, I readily agreed.

Everyone can influence. But it all comes down to what kind of influence you are marking or leaving to people.

We are choosing the next leader of the nation. We have been tested, asked, and criticized about who we will give our vote to and why. People are fighting over their choices, and some end social connections because of it.

Someone I know said that vote is just a vote, and you are just doing it because you need to. However, your vote, my dear, is a decision made by every citizen in our country that will decide our nation’s future. Whomever you choose, you are giving them the power to influence our people’s future.

So why should Filipinos vote for Leni Robredo? Let’s list down the reasons by learning it from those notable personalities and groups;

Beauty Queens

Beauty queens are not just all about physical beauty. They have brains. They stand for something.

Catriona Gray

My choice for President is Leni Robredo. She is the only candidate with experience in all three branches of the government. I believe one of the most competent responses during the global pandemic was under the stewardship of her Office of the Vice President.

Above all else,” she added. “Of all the candidates, she’s the only one who gives me hope for change for the future that I wish to see for my country.

We are called to do what is right, and we are called to speak for those who cannot. We are called to seek justice and correct oppression, and this is why I am campaigning for Leni Robredo to be the President of the Philippines. There are times we need to keep quiet and observe, but there is also a time to stand and speak up.

God gives us the wisdom to choose the right leaders, and madam Leni is honest and trustworthy – walang bahid ng corruption, knowledgeable and full of wisdom, and she acts with so much compassion. She is hardworking and diligent and what I love about her the most is she has the heart of a servant. Can you say the same for the one you are voting for?

Before you say I’m selfish – gusto ko lang manalo si Leni para sa sarili ko… i pray you realize you’re wrong.

I know all of us only want what’s best for the Philippines and come May, whoever is elected, let us pray for our leaders but put our hope in God alone, the One who knows and controls all things.

In the meantime, #LetLeniLead LabanLeni #Ipanalona10ito

As a first time voter, I must say that it felt so good to vote today. Emotional actually. May halong excitement & relief that I finally took my stand. Shading that little black dot felt like I was finally making a choice towards our future. I know I’m only 1 person. Only 1 vote out of millions but every vote counts.

Today, I am even prouder to have voted for Leni to be our next President. I’m sharing this with you dahil naniniwala ako sa kakayahan ng isang babae.

National Artists

Five National Artists announced that they are backing Vice President Leni Robredo’s bid for the presidency.

National Artist is an honorary title issued by some states as the highest recognition of artists for their significant contributions to the nation’s cultural heritage.

The rank and title of National Artist is conferred through a Presidential Proclamation. It recognizes excellence in Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, Literature, Film and Broadcast Arts, and Architecture or Allied Arts.

At an event titled “Pusuan ang Sining at Kultura; State of the HeART” at the Miriam College Covered Courts, National Artists Ben Cab (Visual Arts), Alice Reyes (Dance), Ramon Santos and Ryan Cayabyab (Music), and Virgilio Almario, also known as Rio Alma (Literature) made public their decision to endorse Robredo.

So here’s their answer why they support Leni’s candidacy

Ben Cab (Visual Arts)

She’s honest, she’s incorruptible. She’s hard working. She is intelligent. She is dignified, she has integrity. She shows up, she get things done, she knows what she’s doing. She’s lovely and pleasant to look at, and listen to. She is everything the current President is not. She’s the only hope of our country. Leni Robredo is my President”

Alice Reyes (Dance)

Sa enough politicians, who only think of themselves who only want to stay in power. We are so happy to have this opportunity to have a leader like VP Leni”

“She served brilliantly, quietly, steadily without any fanfare as Vice President against all odds, and she has reminded us that we can do this”
‘She needs us; we need her. Gawin natin lahat for the love of this country,.

Ryan Cayabyab (Music)

If I could see a Leni as our President, what a Joy!

Dr. Ramon Santos (Music)

Rio Alma (Literature)

Note:
According to Rio Alma, since they see that the very problem we have is all cultural, they decided (all cultural workers) to create the Katipunan sa Kultura at Kasaysayan Kartilya 2022 to help address the cultural issues.

Rio Alma said that they sent the KKK Kartilya 2022 to all leading candidates. However, only VP Leni Robredo responded.
