An old concept that is always true.
There are people who expect me to raise their self-esteem when they attend my speaking seminars. They are overestimating my ability. I cannot do that for them.
You may influence how others esteem you. However, improving how others see you will not necessarily change your self-esteem. Your self-esteem (read: the way you see yourself) is your choice.
You are no longer a child. You do not need someone like me to tell you that you are unique, that you are valuable, that you are created in the image and likeness of God. I need to do that with children — because they do not know yet.
You are a child no more. Choose to think highly of yourself.
