Praise individual efforts of your team members

“Recognize me for what I have done. I know that there is no “I” in the word teamwork, but I exist all the time. You can therefore help me become a better teamplayer by first helping me grow as a better person. Show me that though I am not your superstar player, I am equally important to the success of the team.”

“I am your messenger. I do not have a well-respected title. But I exert efforts too so I can represent our company the best way possible. They see you in me, at least that’s what I tell myself when I meet our clients.”

“I am your front desk officer. I know, I am an officer with no subordinate. But like the rest, I work for this team the best way I can. Please tell me that you encourage everyone to emulate my punctuality, diligence,and happy spirit. This small gesture will affirm that I am part of the team and not simply a machine who must smile for the sake of smiling.

Here is a simple advice from Jef Menguin: Always remind yourself that Praising is an effective teambuilding tool. Praising individual efforts is essential to building your teams. Human beings we are, we all need recognition. Therefore, make a habit of catching your team members doing something good.
