William James once said, “We don’t laugh because we are happy. We are happy because we laugh.” Laughter is the best stress-reducing strategy I can share with you. Around that world, there is a growing number of Laughter Yoga organizations. They have proven that the mere intention to laugh changes our attitude about life. Laughter is very infectious that you can resist to laugh when those around you are laughing. Laughter, Norman Cousins proved, is the best medicine.
Don’t take yourself very seriously. We were good at laughing when we were younger. Research shows that the average 4-year-old laughs 300 times daily. How many times have you laugh today?
Here is my advise. create a list of activities that will help you laugh more for the next 21 days. Then for the next 21 days, commit yourself to doing these activities. Make it natural for people to laugh home. And make it easy for your employees and your boss, if you have any, to have more opportunities of laughing. Generally, people love those who can make them laugh.
Laugh to be happy. Laugh to make people happy.
