1. Decide at once if you will get what you want from this site. This is created only for those with a deep desire to increase their abilities in communication, leadership, and self-improvement. I hope to entertain you everytime I write and speak, but there are thousands of other sites which are devoted to entertainment.
Because you are in this site, you increased its popularity ratings. Thank you. Read at least three more articles. When you find them useful, you will know that this site is for you. Share whatever you will learn, and more people will be grateful to you.
2. I suggest that you bookmark the page, or print it. You may not find every article valuable, but you can focus on those that can help you. If you have a blog, write about them. Even those articles which you don’t like can help you– being clear why you don’t agree with an article is a productive step towards self-understanding. Look for the ShareThis Icon below each post or page. You share an excellent page to your social network and email your friends and employees about the post.
3. When you come across a suggestion that you feel you can use, write your comment about it. What I do is to print documents in pdf form. But it is best to print the page or post. You can also make it a habit to leave a comment in every page or post. This will at once bring you into a conversation with yourself, a very important step to learning better. Do you have a website or blog? Comment in the post or page because that will lead to your webite.
Join also our eGames. I am inviting the readers to give their tips on various topics. Sharing your ideas to people will make you learn twice. You may also share your own articles. I created a from specifically for that.
4. Stop frequently in your reading to think over what you are reading. Ask yourself just how and when you can apply each tip, technique, and theory. Many of the entries are short entries like those under the categories of motivating employees and quotes as these are more frequent than the others.
5. Rate the page or post. Doing so will help others get an idea of what people think about an article or a podcast. A post does not have to be perfect to give it a five star.
6. Read again and again. We forget easily, and reading constantly will help you remember. Repetition is the mother of learning.
7. Learning is an active process. We learn by doing. So, if you desire to master the principles you are learning from this website, do something about them. Apply the principles and practices at every chance. Only knowledge that is used sticks in your mind.
8. Keep a journal. Journalling helped me a lot in processing my ideas. I know of people who keep gratitude journals. They write about things which they are grateful. You can do the same. You can keep a self-improvement journal where you can write about the small successes you have accomplished. You can also start a blog. I recommend you try wordpress.com
9. Share whatever you learn from this site. Start a discussion about a subject which you have developed an interest. We learn faster when we learn together with others. You can reprint the articles in your company newsletter. Always remember to give the attritubution to whom it is due.
To your greater success,
